What is the Mobile Pantry Truck?

Love INC’s fresh food give away happens twice per month. Each time we order 10,000 lbs. of fresh food from Feeding America (formally known as Second Harvest Gleaners) with monies donated from the community. Love INC's volunteers distribute the food in the parking lot of St. Patrick Catholic Church to people in need within our community.  We will be there rain, snow, sleet or shine.

Here is Elizabeth McLaughlin's story about her own personal experience while volunteering at one of these trucks. Elizabeth is a Spring Lake High School Student.

How can I help with this ministry?

The objective of this ministry is to offer love and hope to people who are struggling to make ends meet. Volunteers start at 9:30 a.m. and help until the food is gone (around 11:00 a.m.). If you would be willing to assist us in handing out food, packaging food or in helping people carry food to their cars, please contact Jeanette at (616) 846-2701 or via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Can I financially sponsor one of these trucks?

YES!  In fact, there are several dates left in 2010 that have not been financially supported. Twice per month we distribute 10,000 lbs of fresh food from Feeding America f.k.a. Second Harvest Gleaners. We are able to do this through community financial support. You can financially support one of these trucks for only $850. If you are interested, please contact Eric Morgan at (616) 846-2701 or via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
